There will be a slight change for one of the two NASCAR dates at Bristol Motor Speedway for next year as the sanctioning body announced its 2008 Sprint Cup Series Schedule today.

While the Food City 500 weekend at racing's most popular NASCAR venue will remain in March, the event will be March 14-16 in 2008. The action-packed schedule begins with Pole Day March 14, the Sharpie Mini 300 March 15, culminating with the Food City 500 March 16.

The Sharpie 500 Sprint Cup race, along with the Food City 250 event, will be held Aug. 22-23 while the O'Reilly 200 Craftsman Truck Series/Food City 150 Hooter's Pro Cup doubleheader will be held on Aug. 20.
