The region's most spectacular holiday light show, Speedway In Lights Powered by TVA, kicks off its 11th season when it opens Nov. 16 with a number of special opportunities for discounts and free gifts for visitors.
Speedway In Lights will offer nightly specials every Sunday through Thursday for the duration of the event, which continues through Jan. 5, 2008. These offers include:
SUNDAY-THURSDAY - CANS FOR A CAUSE NIGHT - Anyone who brings in a non-perishable food item to Speedway In Lights will receive a $2 discount any night Sunday through Thursday.
SUNDAY - CHURCH BULLETIN NIGHT - Bring in your church bulletin and receive $2 off the cost of a ticket for Speedway In Lights.
MONDAY - DIXIE POTTERY NIGHT - Each vehicle visiting Speedway In Lights will receive a free gift from Dixie Pottery, while supplies last.
WEDNESDAY - HARDEE'S NIGHT - Each vehicle coming through Speedway In Lights can show a Hardee's receipt and receive $2 off admission.
THURSDAY - BELK NIGHT - Each vehicle coming through Speedway In Lights can show a Belk's receipt and receive $2 off admission.
Tickets for Speedway In Lights, open nightly 6-10 p.m., Nov. 16-Jan. 5, are available at gate at Bristol Motor Speedway. Ticket prices for cars are $10 Sunday through Thursday, and $12 Friday and Saturday. Activity van tickets are $15 each night and bus tickets are $65 each night.
Proceeds from Speedway In Lights Powered by TVA benefit the Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities, a non-profit foundation dedicated to distributing funds to qualified children's charities. Funds from the foundation directly aid children in the Tri-Cities area. To date, Speedway Children's Charities has raised nearly $4 million for area agencies.
