Making the family part of the NASCAR experience is one reason for the sport's popularity. In keeping with that tradition, Bristol Motor Speedway is doing its part to make sure families have every opportunity to enjoy the Sharpie MINI 300 Nationwide Series race Saturday, March 15.

The Family Four Pack is now available through Thursday, March 13 for the Sharpie MINI 300. The Four PackFamily Four Pack will provide two adult tickets and two children's tickets to a family for only $99. Additional children's tickets (ages 12 and under) may be purchased with this offer for only $10.

This gives the entire family the opportunity to see Sprint Cup regulars like defending race and Nationwide Series champion Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Bobby Labonte, Kevin Harvick, Clint Bowyer, Danny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle compete in what is one of the most exciting events NASCAR has to offer.

"The backbone of NASCAR always has been family," said BMS president and general manager Jeff Byrd. "From fathers and sons and brothers who race to the families who want to come out and enjoy watching them, it's just a family-oriented sport. We want to give families the opportunity to come out and enjoy some of the most exciting racing they'll see all year. It really is a great way to spend an afternoon and the racing is incredible."

To take advantage of the offer, call the BMS ticket office at 423.989.6900 or BUY ONLINE.

Nationwide Series Notes:

  • While the goal is always to sit on the pole for drivers in the Nationwide Series events, starting first in the Sharpie MINI 300 at rarely translates to a win at Bristol Motor Speedway. In the 26 races contested in the spring, only two have been won from the pole. The first driver to do it was Rick Wilson in 1989 while the last to accomplish the feat was Jason Keller in 1999. Of the 51 Nationwide races held at BMS since 1982 the winner has started the top slot a total of only seven times. The only other drivers to win from the pole are Morgan Shepherd (1984), Brett Bodine (1986), Jeff Fuller (1996), Kevin Harvick (2000) and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (2004).

  • Morgan Shepherd and Kevin Harvick both have four Nationwide Series wins each at Bristol Motor Speedway to lead all drivers in victories at the half-mile oval. Matt Kenseth is next with three, followed by Brett Bodine, Todd Bodine, Steve Grissom, Mark Martin, Larry Pearson, Jimmy Spencer and Michael Waltrip, all with two apiece.

  • Three sets of brothers have won Nationwide races at BMS: Michael (1993 and 2003) and Darrell Waltrip (1985), Brett (1985 and '86) and Todd Bodine (1992 and '93) and David (1994) and Jeff Green (2002).

  • The only father-son combination to win at BMS in the Nationwide Series was Dale Earnhardt (1988) and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. (2004).

  • Kevin Harvick holds the record for starting furthest back in the field for a Nationwide event at BMS, winning after starting 38th in the Sharpie 250 in August, 2005.

  • Chevrolet leads all manufacturers with Nationwide Series wins at Bristol with 26. From August of 1997 through the spring of 2006 Chevrolet won 17 of 18 races. However, the last three events have been won by Fords (August 2006 --Matt Kenseth, March 2007 -- Carl Edwards) and Dodge (August 2007 - Kasey Kahne).

  • The only time a driver has swept both the spring and August Nationwide races at BMS was in 1995 when Steve Grissom won both events.
