Spectacular Fireworks Show Will Light Up Night July 5 At BMS
NEW - Adjust Font Size:

Join Bristol Motor Speedway as it celebrates Independence Day with racing and fireworks on July 5.
Bristol Motor Speedway will be celebrating our nation's birthday in a big way Saturday, July 5, with the area's only fireworks celebration that evening.

Capping an action-packed card at The World's Fastest Half-Mile, the spectacular fireworks presentation will have a patriotic theme and WQUT FM 101.5 will simulcast the pyro show with synchronized music to add to the experience.

On-track action begins at 7 p.m. with a 25-lap Pro Challenge race, followed by a 15-lap Charger event. The UARA Stars then hit the track in the Thompson Metal 150.

The finale on the track will feature the infamous trailer race, a fan favorite, providing entertainment for all ages. Remember, it's another "last-car running with all of its parts" test for these heavy-metal cars, and the most important part is the boat or camper has to remain attached to the car.

The Charger Division makes its second appearance at Bristol utilizing retired NASCAR Cup and Nationwide Series cars, Hooters Pro Cup cars and late model cars. These cars, however, now compete with a little less power and a spec engine.

General admission tickets are available for $15 for adults. Children 12 and under will be admitted free with a ticketed adult. A pit pass also is available for $35. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted into the pits.

Gates open July 5 at 6 p.m. For more information, please call the BMS ticket office at 423-989-6900.
