Following the learnings from yesterday’s two practice sessions, and discussions with teams, drivers, the race track and Goodyear, NASCAR will adjust the stage length, add two competition cautions and increase the tire allotment count for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway (3:30 p.m., FOX, PRN Radio, Sirius XM Radio).
The below adjustments provide additional opportunities for track prep, shorten the length of time between track prep efforts and give teams additional opportunities to change tires.
Stages
- Stages will now end on Lap 100, Lap 200 and Lap 250.
Competition Cautions
- There will be a competition caution on Laps 50 and Lap 150. Caution laps will not count once NASCAR sends the free pass car around.
Tires Allotment
- Each team will receive an additional set of tires.
