NASCAR released its 2025 Cup Series schedule today and iconic Bristol Motor Speedway, where so much stock car racing history has been made, will once again host two important race weekends. For the first time in track history, both race weekends will feature all three of NASCAR’s marquee series, as the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series will join the Cup Series for three days (April) and three nights (September) of thrilling action.

In April, the fan-favorite Food City 500 returns and will once again work to transport race fans back in time with a 1990s theme. Last year the retro feeling resonated greatly with fans, drivers, teams and all those within the industry.

Food City, with 151 grocery store locations across five southeastern states, is the second-longest entitlement sponsor in the Cup Series in NASCAR history and Bristol’s longest-tenured entitlement partner. This will be the 34th year that Food City will serve as the sponsor of the spring Cup race at Bristol and the grocery retailer’s 39th year of overall involvement in NASCAR racing at Bristol.

The Food City 500 will move to a more familiar weekend, as it will be contested Friday-Sunday, April 11-13, four weeks later than last year’s event, which was held on St. Patrick’s Day weekend in March. Back by popular demand, the boldly colored nostalgic Food City 500 logo from the 1992 season is making another return and track officials are once again planning many special activities, tributes, legends appearances and music performances to commemorate the Food City 500’s longevity as a major sports event and to also turn back the clock to that special period in time in some imaginative and entertaining ways throughout the race weekend.

In what promises to be a thrilling weekend of racing in April, Sunday’s Food City 500 NASCAR Cup Series race will be joined by the SciAps 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday, April 12, and the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race on Friday night, April 11.

“We had so much fun with our retro-themed Food City 500 that we are going to do it again and bring in some different elements this time around to add to the experience,” said Jerry Caldwell, president and general manager of Bristol Motor Speedway. “The Food City 500 has moved back to a mid-April date on the calendar and for the first time in history, we will have all three of NASCAR’s marquee series racing with us during each race weekend as the SciAps 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race and the WEATHER GUARD Truck Race also will be part of the fun in the spring.”

The Bass Pro Shops Night Race will once again serve as the cut-off race in Round 16 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs and will move to one week earlier on the calendar (Sept. 11-13). For the second time in track history, all three NASCAR races during the weekend will be Playoff events, as the UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics will be race two in the opening round of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs and the NASCAR Xfinity Series will open its Playoffs at Bristol with the always-entertaining Food City 300.

“For the second time in history Bristol Motor Speedway will serve as the home to a trio of Playoff races -- featuring all three of NASCAR’s top series, which will add more drama and intrigue to our September 11-13 race weekend,” Caldwell said. “The crown jewel Bass Pro Shops Night Race will again anchor the first elimination spot in the Cup Series Playoffs and we are excited to see what kind of chaos unfolds during that tradition-rich event.”

Tickets for children ages 12 and under are just $10 for the Food City 500 and Bass Pro Shops Night Race and free with paid adult tickets for the SciAps 300, Food City 300, WEATHER GUARD Truck Race and UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics. To purchase tickets to any of the scheduled races, weekend packages, parking and camping during the Food City 500 weekend in April or the Bass Pro Shops Night Race weekend in September, fans should visit the Bristol Motor Speedway website, or call the BMS Ticket Service Center at (866) 415-4158.
