  Jose Castillo named BMS Neighborhood Hero for Tri-Cities

  Bristol Motor Speedway officials on Wednesday proudly announced Jose Castillo as the 2024 recipient of the BMS Neighborhood Hero award for the Tri-Cities region. Castillo has been a mainstay in the world of NASCAR, serving as a “Spicy Host” for many of the fan stages at race tracks all over the country. At Bristol Motor Speedway, where he got his start nearly two decades ago, he continues to serve as one of the hosts of Colossus TV, the track’s mega TV that hangs in the middle of the facility.

  Food City 300 to set Playoff field for NASCAR Xfinity Series Round of 12 Playoffs

  If this past Saturday’s chaos that took place in the penultimate NASCAR Xfinity Series regular season race at Watkins Glen is any indication, fans can expect total mayhem at the regular season finale Friday night at tough and tumble Bristol Motor Speedway. The Food City 300 under the lights on Friday, Sept. 20 (7:30 p.m., The CW and PRN Radio), will set the 12-driver lineup for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs Round of 12.

  Yates-Matoy named BMS Neighborhood Hero for Knoxville

  Bristol Motor Speedway officials on Tuesday proudly announced Frank William “Billy” Yates-Matoy as the 2024 recipient of the BMS Neighborhood Hero award for Knoxville. Yates-Matoy lives a life of public service to the maximum wearing two amazing uniforms.
